Natural Resources Canada offers a number of programs for energy efficiency that include education and some financial incentives. Programs have limited funds and are usually tied to federal budget cycles. It is always important to make the energy investments on a business basis and use the incentives as an additional way to lower your cost or improve your return on investment.

The Ontario Power Authority has launched it’s new website that all electrical distribution companies must use for the provincial energy efficiency programs. Based on the postal code of the elctrical customer, you are directed to your local utility for all the program requirements and approvals.
FCM’s Green Municipal Fund
Major Ontario cities also have energy efficiency programs in addition to the ones from the utilities. Some utilities are owned by the city they serve and others are under a regulated monopoly system. The Federation of Canadian Municipalities has a Green Municipal Fund that has money to try inoovative energy and other GREEN projects.
