Welcome to this Blog where I hope we can share information on the activities and opportunities that Sustainable Resources Management can participate in together with our clients. Sustainable Resources Management started after I left Ontario Hydro where I was deeply involved in the Demand/Supply Strategy and 25 year Plan. I clearly saw that the electricity produced and consumed has significant energy, environmental, economic attributes. Having worked on a number of energy policy issues including where the sustainable development fit under the leadership of Maurice Strong, Chairman of Ontario Hydro, I took a voluntary separation package in 1993 and started looking for new opportunities that would allow me to apply my financial and economic life cycle analysis skills to resources (energy, water, land, money) management. With the help of my family, I formed Sustainable Resources Management Inc. that purchased a share of a company, Save Energy Engineering that was placing computers in buildings to provide better control and operations and offering to get paid from the energy savings. My initial partner was Peter Beaini, who dealt with all the technical operations while I did the marketing, sales and administration. Taking on the giants like Honeywell, Johnson Controls and the other smaller companies providing direct digital control systems and connecting to them over the phone lines using 300 Baud modems was a challenge. After project in about 25 buildings, my partner and I decided to each pursue new initiatives in our individual areas of expertise, and he returned to Nova Scotia where he wanted to bring up his young family and I pursued new collaborative efforts with many other former Ontario Hydro contacts and other energy consultants and still operate that way today. Having significant insight into the energy related technologies I have been engaged to introduce new products and services to the Ontario market. I have assembled a number of them together in a separate company, Sustainable Environmental Solution and engaged a sales expert to work with me on their representation.
