Ricardo completed a BSc. in Environmental Engineering in Colombia and obtained a Master of Renewable Energy technologies at the University of Melbourne in Australia. His experience relates to project management, environmental planning and assessment and corporate sustainability strategies assisting clients mainly in the oil & gas, mining and biofuels industries. Prior to join SRM, he played different roles as a consultant for firms such as SNC LAVALIN, ERNST & YOUNG and SGS in Latin America. The diversity of projects includes eco-efficiency, biodiversity and climate change strategy, implementation and auditing of Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) Management Systems, permitting and regulatory compliance, Process Improvement and Shared Service centers. Additionally, his corporate experience in the hydrocarbons sector working on sustainability reporting, due diligence and business continuity plans. Ricardo also possesses certifications as a Lead Auditor ISO 14000 by BVQI, Project Management Professional (PMP) and recently obtained a training certification in Engineering codes and regulations in Ontario at Humber College in Toronto. Currently, his areas of work are Greenhouse Gas Management and Sustainable Buildings. He is working to become a LEED-GA practitioner and a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier (GHG-IQ) in the near term.
